Sydne Garchik is a visionary leader in affordable housing with nearly two decades of experience in real estate investment and development. As Founder and Principal of MRK Partners, Inc. she has built a nationally recognized platform specializing in the acquisition, preservation, and creation of affordable multifamily housing.

Under Sydne's leadership, MRK Partners has grown to over 5,364 affordable units across 27 properties in six states. She has directed more than $1 billion in real estate transactions, including the $478 million "Sawyer's Walk" development in Miami. MRK stands out as a female-founded firm in a traditionally male-dominated industry, with Sydne's entire C-suite comprised of women.

An avid educator and thought leader in affordable housing, Sydne serves on the Executive Board for the University of Miami's Master of Real Estate Development program, where she also teaches the next generation of industry professionals. Through media appearances, including a feature on CNBC's Empowered, and public speaking, she actively works to shift perceptions about affordable housing and champion industry innovation.

Beyond development, Sydne is deeply committed to community empowerment. She co-founded BLOOM, a nonprofit providing scholarships and financial literacy programs for affordable housing residents, and launched IMGN Communities, a resident-services platform delivering comprehensive programming across MRK properties. She is a recipient of the 2022 Affordable Housing Finance Young Leader Award and 2022 Freddie Mac Impact Sponsor Award.

Sydne lives in Florida with her husband and three daughters.
