Diana McIver is the President/Owner of DMA Companies, which is based in Austin, Texas.  Through its affiliates DMA Development Company, LLC, and DMA Properties, LLC, DMA develops, owns, and operates affordable housing communities. DMA Development has developed 32 apartment communities primarily in the State of Texas and has an additional three properties under construction and two more in development, all of which were financed through the LIHTC Program. Diana has 45 years of experience in affordable housing and got her career start with the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging and later received a Congressional Appointment to serve on the Senior Housing Commission, which reported findings to the Congress in 2002.

With a penchant for policy, Diana is on the Executive Committee of the Housing Advisory Group, chairs the Legislative Committee of the Texas Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies (TALHFA), co-chairs the Federal Legislative Advisory Committee of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (TAAHP), and is a member of both AHTCC and NALHFA’s Legislative Committees.  

Diana received the Texas Houser Award in 2023 and in November 2021, Diana was inducted into the Affordable Housing Finance Hall of Fame.  Ms. McIver was initially elected to the TALHFA Board in 2010 where she currently serves as its Second Vice President.  In 2014, she was named TALHFA Member of the Year. She is a Past President of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (TAAHP) and received its prestigious Jean MacDonald Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. In March 2016, Diana was profiled by Affordable Housing Finance Magazine as one of the country’s ten most influential women in affordable housing.  Locally, she serves on the Board of HousingWorks Austin, an advocacy group.
