Catherine Cawthon is President and CEO of OCCH, a mission-aligned, non-profit organization that connects investor capital to affordable housing developments. For over 35 years, OCCH has partnered with investors on over $7 billion in equity investments, developing over 66,000 units across 10 states.
Prior to OCCH, Catherine was the President of the Fifth Third Community Development Corporation. Fifth Third CDC invests in community developments that support affordable housing, economic revitalization and stabilization as well as job creation. The CDC’s portfolio includes low-income housing, historic and new market tax credit projects as well as investments to CDFIs. Under her leadership, Fifth Third CDC invested over $4.5 billion in more than five hundred developments. AT Fifth Third, Catherine was responsible for business development, origination and asset management functions.
Catherine currently serves on the board for the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, National Association for Affordable Housing Lenders, the Ohio Housing Council, and The Mirth Project. She is also the President of NASLEF (National Association of State and Local Equity Funds), a national organization supporting state and local equity funds in their mission to invest in affordable housing.
Catherine graduated from Illinois State University and earned an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
