Brendan McBride is Senior Development Director at Gilbane Development Company, where he leads projects within the firm’s affordable housing division across the northeastern United States. With over 25 years of experience in affordable and mixed-income housing, Brendan has worked across nonprofit, for-profit, and public sector roles, bringing a unique perspective on collaboration and partnership.

Before joining Gilbane, Brendan served as Associate Commissioner of New Construction at New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development, where he oversaw programs deploying more than $6 billion in capital to create over 30,000 units of affordable housing, including supportive and senior housing. In this role, he worked extensively with nonprofit and for-profit developers to structure complex projects grounded in strong cross-sector partnerships.
