Stephen Bannon

Bio:

Stephen Bannon is Assistant Director of Multifamily Business Development and Originations at the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA). He joined IHDA in 2021 and gained experience in both Asset Management portfolio analysis and Multifamily underwriting. In his current role, Stephen leads the origination and structuring of long-term financing for affordable and mixed-income developments, including tax-exempt bonds and LIHTC, with a focus on expanding IHDA’s HUD Risk-Sharing first mortgage program. He also develops new financing tools to broaden the range of housing IHDA can support. Prior to IHDA, Stephen worked in property maintenance operations, parking asset consulting, and product management. He received a B.S. in Economics from Bradley University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. A self-proclaimed “girl dad,” Stephen spends most of his time outside work playing with his four daughters at their home in Lombard.
