Alex Melikan brings nearly a decade of experience in real estate finance and asset management to his role as Director of Investment Management at MRI Software. In this role, he leads the Investment Management team working with affordable housing clients nationwide. Prior to joining MRI, Alex Melikan was an Assistant Director at TCAM and was responsible for providing asset management services for private and public sector affordable housing stakeholders and analytical support for acquisitions, valuations, and dispositions of affordable housing assets. In addition, Mr. Melikan has managed a range of transaction consulting engagements for state and local housing agencies, large housing authorities, and housing developers.

Alex started his career in affordable housing at a national syndicator, Boston Financial Investment Management (BFIM) as an Asset Management Associate. He was responsible for managing a portfolio of affordable housing properties and for providing special asset and workout research, analysis, and recommendations to senior management. He previously worked for AEW Capital Management as a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Analyst.

Alex holds an MBA from Babson College, a dual graduate-level certificate in Real Estate Finance and Commercial Real Estate from Boston University, and a BS from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
